What to Expect & Tips

• Parking is FREE and the Visitors?Center is located by the lower level parking area.
• The temperature inside the cavern is 70 Degrees (21 degrees C) with a relative humidity of 99%. It feels warmer, so don’t bring a jacket.
• Please wear lightweight clothing and comfortable walking shoes which provide good traction on steep wet surfaces. Strollers are not recommended.
• Cameras are welcome in the Cavern. A flash is needed and we recommend high speed film.
• The Discovery Tour is an all walking, guided tour. The distance is 3/4 mile (1.21 km) and descends 180 feet (54.86 meters) below the surface. It leaves approximately every 30 minutes through out the day.
• The Hidden Passages Tour is an all walking, guided tour. The distance is 1/3 mile (.53 km) and descends 180 feet (54.85 meters) below the surface. It leaves every 40 minutes, and is limited to 20 Guests.
• The Watchtower Challenge climbing tower and zip lines are open seasonally and weather permitting. Please contact us for up-to-date information.
• Souvenirs, gifts, food and drinks are available for purchase in the Visitors?Center.
